ISANNE Student Life Leaders unConference

ISANNE Student Life Leaders unConference

Thursday, June 7, 2018 - 10 am - 2 pm

New Hampton School - New Hampton, NH

ISANNE is happy to announce that we have Glenn Hall from FCD Prevetion Works (Part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation) to present to us in the morning:

Vaping: What You Need to Know
Description:  Vaping in its many forms is a drug use practice that poses both multiple health risks and the risk of addiction to young people. This workshop will explore: 1) what electronic nicotine delivery systems or “ENDS” are, and what vaping is, 2) what the use of vapes does to the young body and mind, 3) how vaping compares to traditional cigarette and other drug use, 4) why persons, and especially young people, may choose to use vapes and juuls, 5) what addiction to vaping looks like, 6) and how to make the healthy decisions about vaping while encouraging others to do the same.

In recent years ISANNE has found that perhaps the most valued component of its conferences and programs is the time dedicated to round-table conversations concerning the most important topics in the eyes of those attending. Providing a forum to exchange ideas, learn from one another and gain insights into how other schools approach similar challenges is invaluable. We have so much to learn from each other as schools across the region continue to build and strengthen their programs.

We are very happy to extend this invitation to all ISANNE Student Life Leaders to attend an unConference at New Hampton School on June 7th beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding around 2:00 PM.
