Kelly Nolin - Head of University Archives and Special Collections, Norwich University

Kelly has created or professionalized several archives or special collections, most recently at Norwich University, beginning in 2003-2004. Beginning with perhaps a few hundred random boxes, Kelly now administers and manages more than 2,100 feet of records and the University’s rare book collection with three professional archivists on staff and a full program of instruction and digitization and are now developing our transcription program. The Norwich reading room holds regular public service hours, noon-4:00 pm, M-F. Starting with very little material and few resources, Kelly understands the difficulties of doing meaningful archival work on a shoestring.

Kelly has done similar organizational work for former U. S. Senator James M. Jeffords, the State of Vermont, the Connecticut Historical Society, Lyndon State College and the Northfield Historical Society (Vt.).
