The Independent Schools Association of Northern New England requires that all members be accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. NEASC is the most respected accrediting organization in New England and is highly respected internationally. ISANNE partners with NEASC to insure that all of its member schools meet the standards for accreditation.
NEASC requires a thorough self-evaluation and continuous improvement that reflects compliance with required standards. This involves a self-study and a peer review coupled with ongoing benchmarks and timeframes for improvement. The most critical part of the process is school improvement with a clear focus on the curricular program at the school and its alignment with the school’s mission and core values. Special attention is also given to school leadership, governance and facilities; all key to supporting teaching and learning at the institution.
