We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Stage Neck Inn in York Harbor, ME October 2-3 for our 14th Annual New England Town Academy Conference.

This year, the sessions are designed to be interactive learning experiences for heads and administrative leaders as we welcome Jenna Menhert, Executive Director of NAMI Maine (NAMI – National Alliance on Mental Health) for our Tuesday afternoon presentation on Building Environments to Support Mental Wellness. (see below for full conference program and session descriptions)

Wednesday morning’s program provides time for three facilitated discussion topics hosted by fellow heads. Topics will include: Politics on Campus - Fostering engagement, respect and diversity; Campus Safety - Balancing campus safety and accessibility; and Student Voice - Student Councils and complex and challenging Issues.

We encourage Heads of School, Mental Health Professionals, Guidance Counselors and Deans to attend this conference and we look forward to seeing you in York Harbor, ME!

Registration Fees:

$299.00 per person for ISANNE Members - Full Conference (includes all meals, conference breaks and conference materials)

$225.00 per person for each additional person from your school - Full Conference (includes all meals, conference breaks and conference materials)

$424.00 for ISANNE Members plus Spouse - Full Conference for participant (includes all meals, conference breaks and conference materials) - includes all meals for spouse

$449.00 per person for Non-ISANNE Members

Please be advised that the registration form is for the conference only. You will need to make your own room reservation. Please call The Stage Neck Inn directly at 207-363-3850 and identify yourself as an ISANNE New England Town Academy Conference participant to receive the negotiated rate. Your rooming reservation must be made by Sunday, September 2, 2018 to receive the conference room rate range of $221 - $256.


Jenna Menhert


Jenna Mehnert, MSW

Executive Director, NAMI Maine


Ms. Mehnert serves as the chief executive for NAMI Maine, a statewide, grassroots mental health education, support and advocacy entity. In her role, she is responsible for implementing the agency’s strategic directions and as such oversees the operation of NAMI Maine’s programs and services. Jenna serves as the agency’s registered lobbyist directing NAMI Maine’s policy and legislative work. Jenna’s life commitment is to improving the lives of individuals by building smarter systems staffed with skilled professionals.

A social worker by education, Jenna began her career as a child welfare worker in Lewiston/Auburn. Having worked in the fields of child welfare, juvenile justice, rape crisis, domestic violence, addiction and criminal justice, Jenna’s career has focused on building better systems for those providing or receiving mental health services from a variety of perspectives. Having worked for the administrations’ of Mayor Giuliani, Mayor Williams, and Governor Rendell, Jenna brings a people-first perspective to her system change efforts. In addition to holding an MSW degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in executive leadership from Bryn Mawr College, Jenna was the Outstanding Senior Woman for 1993 graduating class of the University of Southern Maine. Ms. Mehnert is also a JT Gorman Results Based Accountability Fellow. Additionally, Jenna a proud graduate of Westtown School, the nation’s oldest coeducation boarding school.
